Introduction to Contortion

Service Description

Whether you’re a pole artist, yogi, aerialist, or just looking to increase your full body active flexibility - contortion is an awesome practice! Each 75-minute class will safely introduce passive and active exercises for front- & middle-split flexibility, as well as stretches & conditioning for increased neck, back, & shoulder range of motion. Students will also begin to explore the foundations of such contortion skills as chest stand, forearm stands, & handstands. Prerequisites: Should be able to comfortably hold a bridge with straight arms for 10 seconds. Flat splits not required. Handstands not required. Some pre-warmup is highly encouraged! Maybe consider taking the stairs to class & get a leg up on generating that good good body heat? And bring socks! Book in & get bent on an extraterrestrial level 👽

For cancellations, please notify us within 6 hours to avoid being charged a $20 late cancel/no-show fee. Open Studio $10 late cancel/no-show fee. Private lessons require a $50 non-refundable deposit. All purchases are non-refundable, but may be transferred when provided with a minimum of 6 hour notice.
