About the Event
Whether you’re a pole artist, yogi, aerialist, or just looking to increase your full body active flexibility - contortion is an awesome practice!
This 90-minute workshop will safely introduce passive and active exercises for front- & middle-split flexibility, as well as stretches & conditioning for increased neck, back, & shoulder range of motion. Students will also begin to explore the foundations of such contortion skills as chest stand, forearm stands, & handstands.
Prerequisites: Should be able to comfortably hold a bridge with straight arms for 10 seconds. Flat splits not required. Handstands not required. Some pre-warmup is highly encouraged! Maybe consider taking the stairs to class & get a leg up on generating that good good body heat? And bring socks!
